Little did she know

L
He meant the world to her. Ever since she could remember, he tended to her every need, just as he did with the other cows. Some of them went missing now and then; she thought they must have gone astray or wandered off. Little did she know she was growing up in a butcher’s backyard.

J
It was her birthday, but no one seemed to remember. At the end of a long day, she dragged herself home, upset with the world for not making her day special. Little did she know her friends and family waited with bated breath in the darkness of her house to throw her a big surprise!
